Yamaha Motor Europe e il team ufficiale MJC Yamaha EMX125 sono lieti di confermare una formazione di tre piloti per il campionato EMX125 2021. La squadra ha mantenuto il talento olandese Ivano Van Erp ed è entusiasta di accogliere due nuovi corridori, il lettone Karlis Reisulis e l’italiano Ferruccio Zanchi.
In qualità di Campione del mondo Junior Motocross 65cc 2017, Van Erp è già un nome riconosciuto nel motocross europeo. Il quindicenne olandese si è unito al team ufficiale MJC Yamaha EMX125 nel 2020 e ha completato un primo periodo positivo all’interno della classe EMX125 a bordo di una YZ125 equipaggiata con il kit GYTR con tre piazzamenti tra i primi 10 durante le ultime fasi del campionato.
Reisulis ha fatto il suo debutto in EMX125 nel 2020 al quinto round della serie dei nove round, a Mantova, in Italia. Impressionante, il quindicenne è arrivato settimo in entrambe le gare per il settimo assoluto e si è rapidamente affermato come uno dei debuttanti con le migliori prestazioni. Dopo aver ottenuto un totale di quattro piazzamenti nella top-10 durante i cinque round a cui ha partecipato quest’anno, Reisulis ha dimostrato di avere un enorme potenziale per il futuro.

Completando la line-up 2021, Zanchi diventerà il più giovane pilota ufficiale di motocross Yamaha e farà il passo dalla classe 85cc alla categoria 125cc. Il quattordicenne si unirà a van Erp e Reisulis al cancello del campionato EMX125, dove tutti e tre i piloti gareggeranno con le YZ125 equipaggiate con GYTR per tutta la stagione 2021.

MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 to Field an Exciting 3-Rider Line Up in 2021
Yamaha Motor Europe and the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team are pleased to confirm a three-rider line-up for the 2021 EMX125 Championship. The team has retained Dutch talent Ivano Van Erp and is thrilled to welcome two new riders, Latvian Karlis Reisulis and Italian Ferruccio Zanchi.
As the 2017 Junior Motocross 65cc World Champion, Van Erp is already a recognized name in European motocross. The 15-year-old Dutchman joined the MJC Yamaha Official EMX125 team in 2020 and completed a positive first term inside the EMX125 class aboard a GYTR kitted YZ125 with three top-10 race finishes during the latter stages of the championship.
Reisulis made his EMX125 debut in 2020 at round five of the nine-round series, in Mantova, Italy. Impressively, the 15-year-old finished seventh in both races for seventh overall and quickly established himself as one of the best performing rookies. Having scored a total of four top-10 race finishes during the five rounds he attended this year, Reisulis has proven he has enormous potential for the future.
Completing the 2021 line-up, Zanchi will become Yamaha’s youngest Official motocross rider as he makes the step up from the 85cc class to the 125cc category. The 14-year-old will join van Erp and Reisulis on the EMX125 Championship gate, where all three riders will race GYTR kitted YZ125s throughout the 2021 season.

Karlis Reisulis rode a few EMX125 races this year and had great speed for a rider that was new to the class. He immediately felt confident after his test on the Yamaha YZ125, and we think that both Ivano and Karlis will be upfront fighting for good championship points in 2021. As for Ferruccio, he is only 14 years old and has been on our radar since the 2019 Junior Motocross World Championship. At such a young age, he will have the time to adapt to the YZ125. Consistency will be his main priority in 2021.”
