Alberto Forato ha ribadito il suo ottimo stato di salute, andando a vincere Gara 1 della MX2 e cogliendo la piazza d’onore nella Supercampione.

Il pilota del Team Maddii Racing ha centrato il successo nella manche d’apertura, mentre nella seconda è stato costretto a prendere la via dei box. Un contatto con Michele Cervellin, infatti, ha causato vistosi problemi alla sua Husqvarna e ciò gli ha impedito di replicare la bella prestazione iniziale. E’ comunque riuscito a concludere bene la giornata, terminando secondo nell’ultima frazione. Il compagno di team Mattia Guadagnini non è stato da meno: il veneto ha portato a casa un sesto ed un quinto posto di manche significativi. In entrambe le heat è scattato come un fulmine in partenza e se non fosse stato per l’errore patito in Gara 1, il giovane talento azzurro avrebbe potuto ottenere anche un risultato migliore.

Due secondi posti per Samuele Bernardini, autore di due manche solide che gli hanno permesso di piazzarsi alle spalle del leader Alessandro Lupino. In entrambe le manche è stato autore di uno start degno di nota, ma nel corso delle gare non è riuscito ad arginare la forza del rivale viterbese. Nella Supercampione ha concluso sul gradino più basso del podio, testimoniando così gli ottimi passi in avanti realizzati in queste ultime settimane. Giornata da archiviare in fretta, invece, per Giuseppe Tropepe: il calabrese dopo il sesto tempo nel Gruppo 2 di qualifica, è rimasto a secco di punti in entrambe le manche. Weekend poco fortunato anche per Matteo Puccinelli; dopo aver sfiorato la zona punti in Gara 1, è rimasto nelle retrovie nella frazione di chiusura. Buon fine settimana per Mahy Vilanueva che si è sempre mantenuto in zona punti, riuscendo a ripetersi anche nella manche di chiusura dopo aver conquistato la top 10 assoluta nella MX2.

Prova incolore per Gianluca Facchetti; il terzo tempo conseguito nelle prove cronometrate del Gruppo 1 ha illuso la giovane speranza azzurra, dato che nelle manche è poi rimasto intrappolato nelle posizioni di rincalzo. Caleb Grothues ha conquistato in entrambe le heat la ventesima piazza, dopo aver realizzato il settimo tempo nelle prove cronometrate del Gruppo 1. Grazie al risultato conseguito, è così riuscito a mantenersi nella top 20 del campionato MX2. Buona la performance realizzata da Ruben Fernandez, rimasto nelle zone di vertice per tutto l’arco della giornata. Dopo un quinto posto nella manche d’apertura, ha colto la settima posizione nella seconda, guadagnando l’ottava piazza assoluta; ha poi concluso la giornata giungendo appena fuori dalla top 10 nella Supercampione. Rick Elzinga, invece, non è stato in grado di inserirsi nella top 20. Nonostante una buona qualifica, l’olandese non ha saputo ripetersi in gara e ha concluso in entrambe le circostanze al ventitreesimo posto.

Davide Bonini ha ben figurato a Montevarchi, dimostrando di veloce e costante. Due terzi posti di manche gli hanno permesso di ribadire le medesima posizione nel campionato MX1 e hanno confermato la competitività del pilota KTM.

Notevoli le prestazioni di Emanuele Alberio che si è ben distinto in tutte le uscite, palesandosi come il miglior pilota impegnato nella classe maggiore su una 2T. Grazie alla consistente performance elargita, è riuscito ad installarsi nella top 10 di campionato. Nella Supercampione ha poi dato fondo a tutte le energie rimaste, andando a centrare la ventesima posizione finale. Anche Gianluca Deghi è stato impegnato con un propulsore a 2T, non riuscendo però a raccogliere gli stessi punti incamerati nel corso della prova inaugurale a Cingoli. Nonostante tutto, è riuscito a mantenersi nelle prime dieci posizioni in classifica assoluta, rimanendo il primo dei piloti non in sella ad una 4T.

Andrea Vendruscolo ha avuto un fine settimana in chiaroscuro, complice una cattiva prima manche terminata in fondo al gruppo. Nella seconda si è riscattato con prontezza, agguantando la diciottesima posizione finale, miglior risultato conseguito fino a questo momento nel corso di queste prime due uscite del Campionato Italiano.

Situazione simile anche per Alessandro Manucci che dopo una heat d’apertura poco felice, è stato in grado di riproporsi nelle zone che contano, agguantando la top 15 tanto in Gara 2 della MX2 quanto nella Supercampione.

L’Italiano Prestige tornerà in gara il prossimo 2 giugno e andrà in scena sul tracciato di Savignano sul Panaro, dove si svolgerà la terza tappa del campionato.

AT THE HISTORYCAL MONTEVARCHI CIRCUIT, IN TUSCANY, FORATO CONFIRMED HIMSELF AT THE TOP, BERNARDINI FINISHED SECOND IN MX1

Alberto Forato confirmed his excellent health state, as he won Race 1 in MX2 and he finished 2nd in the “Supercampione”. Team Maddii Racing rider took victory in the first race while he was forced to retire in Race 2, due to a contact with Michele Cervellin that damaged a lot his Husqvarna: he was impeded to repeat the good performance of Race 1. However, he ended the day with another good result, as he finished in 2nd position in the “Supercampione”. His teammate Mattia Guadagnini did very well too: the rider from Veneto finished Race 1 in 6th place and Race 2 in 5th. He started very well both heats and he also could have done better in Race 1 if he did not make a mistake.

Samuele Bernardini took two 2nd places after two solid races in MX1, finishing just behind the leader Alessandro Lupino. He made two very good starts but he could not match the pace of his rival. In the “Supercampione” he finished in 3rd place and with these results he confirmed the steps that he made forward in the last weeks. Giuseppe Tropepe, instead, has to forget straight away the past weekend. The rider from Calabria, after that he signed the 6th fastest lap time in Group 2, finished out of the points area both races. Bad luck for Matteo Puccinelli too: after that he just touched the points area in Race 1, he closed Race 2 in the back of the group. Good weekend for Mahy Villanueva instead, as he always stayed in the points positions. He also finished the last race in a good place and he conquered the Top 10 in the Overall daily standing of the MX2 category.

Meaningless round for Gianluca Facchetti. The third fastest lap time in Group 1 deceived the young Italian rider, as he then got stuck in the back of the group in both races. Caleb Grothues finished both races in 20th place after that he made the 7th fastest lap time in Group 1. Thanks to this result, he managed to stay in the Top 20 of the General Classification of the MX2 championship. Good performance for Ruben Fernandez, as he stayed in the top positions the whole day. After the 5th position in Race 1, he finished 7th in Race 2 and he finished the day in 8th place in the Overall. He then ended the weekend just outside the Top 10 in the “Supercampione” race. Rick Elzinga, instead, was not able to enter the Top 20. Despite of a good qualification, the Dutch could not repeat the good result and he finished both races in 23rd place.

Davide Bonini did well at Montevarchi, showing good and constant speed. He finished both MX1 races in 3rd place, so he confirmed both the same placement in the General Classification and the fact that the KTM rider is very competitive this year.

Great performace for Emanuele Alberio, as he was the best rider on a two strokes engine bike in a major category for the whole weekend. Thanks to his performance, he managed to enter the Top 10 in the GC of the Championship. In the “Supercampione” race he then used all the energies that he had left to finish in 20th place. Gianluca Deghi had a two strokes engine bike too, but he could not collect points as he did at the first round of the championship at Cingoli. Despite of that he managed to stay in the Top 10 of the General Classification, being the first rider on a bike that is not four strokes.

Andrea Vendruscolo had a bittersweet weekend: he finished Race 1 in the back of the group but he did much better in Race 2 as he finished in 18th, which is also the best placement that he reached this year in the Italian Prestige Championship.
Similar situation for Alessandro Manucci who, after an unhappy result in Race 1, managed to finish in the Top 15 both Race 2 and “Supercampione” race.

The Italian Prestige will continue on the 2nd of June at Savignano sul Panaro, circuit that will host the third round of the championship.
