Mxgp di Lettonia si riparte! Anche il Mondiale Motocross dopo mesi di fermo a causa del lockdown cerca di ripartire in piena sicurezza e lo fà con una formula nuova che prevede tre gare sullo stesso circuito a distanza di pochi giorni e con pubblico limitato.

Primo GP del post lockdown sul tracciato di Kegums dove hanno corso MXGP MX2 e Campionato europeo.

Debutto per il nostro rookie Raffaele Giuzio #220 che finalmente può fare il suo esordio nell europeo 250, e lo fa togliendosi già una piccola soddisfazione infatti Raffaele nella gara di Sabato riesce in questa nuova categoria oltre che a guadagnarsi la qualifica a raccogliere i suoi primi punti in campionato.

Nella MXGP Michele Cervellin #747 dimostra subito di non aver perso tempo durante lo stop forzato. In gara uno Michele parte poco fuori dai venti ma già dopo qualche giro riesce a portarsi a ridosso della top ten con un passo gara costante e veloce concludendo in tredicesima posizione. Gara due fotocopia infatti ancora una partenza non bellissima lo costringe a dover recuperare diverse posizioni per concludere in quattordicesima posizione.

Gara spettacolo nella MX2 per Rubén Fernandez #70 che col quarto tempo delle qualifiche fa capire subito di essere veloce sulla sabbia lettone.
Gara uno Rubén parte subito forte e dopo pochi passaggi si ritrova già in terza posizione , dopo pochi giri però una caduta lo fa retrocedere in sesta piazza ma Ruben si sente bene e continua a spingere riportandosi nuovamente in terza posizione e conquistando così il suo primo podio di manches nel mondiale MX2.
Gara due ancora buona partenza per Ruben che nuovamente si ritrova in terza posizione con un passo gara molto veloce che gli vale il best lap della manches , peccato per lui ancora una caduta che lo costringe ad accontentarsi del settimo posto concludendo così quarto assoluto di giornata a pochi punti dal podio.

Even the Motocross World Championship, after months of stop due to the lockdown, tries to restart in complete safety and does it with a new formula that includes three races on the same circuit within a few days and with a limited spectators.

First GP of the post lockdown on the Kegums track where MXGP MX2 and European Championship raced.

Debut for our rookie Raffaele Giuzio # 220 who can finally make his debut in the European 250, and he did it already taking away a small satisfaction in fact Raffaele in Saturday’s race earned the qualification and collected his first points in the league.

In MXGP Michele Cervellin # 747 immediately proves that he did not waste time during the forced stop. In race one Michele starts just out of the twentyth but after few laps he manages to get close to the top ten with a constant and fast race pace, finishing in thirteenth position. Race two was a photocopy in fact still a not so beautiful start forces him to have to recover several positions to finish in fourteenth.

Extraordinary race in MX2 for Rubén Fernandez # 70 who with the fourth time of qualifying immediately makes it clear that he is fast on Latvian sand.
In race one Rubén immediately starts strong and after a few laps he is already in third position, but after a few laps a fall makes him go back to sixth place but Ruben feels good and continues to push, returning to third position again and thus conquering his first podium in the MX2 world championship.
Race two still good start for Ruben who again finds himself in third position with a very fast race pace that earns him the best lap of the manche, too bad for him one more fall that forces him to settle for seventh place thus finishing fourth overall of the day at few points from the podium.
