Si apre la stagione mondiale 2022 dopo il rinvio della scorsa settimana a causa delle avverse condizioni meteo, la pista di Matterly Basin ha subito dei cambiamenti importanti che hanno reso il tracciato ancora più tecnico e veloce.

Il team Ktm Racestore nella classe Mx2 schiera il neo acquisto Samuel Nilsson.
Nelle prove libere il giovane pilota spagnolo ha preso confidenza con la sua nuova moto e con il nuovo tracciato, nelle qualifiche Samuel ha cercato di trovare il giusto feeling lavorando sul ritmo gara in vista delle manches.
Nella gara di qualifica Nilsson ha cercato di non commettere errori mettendo in mostra una buona velocità chiudendo al 17° posto.
In gara 1 scatta bene al via ma purtroppo un piccolo problema con gli occhiali non gli permette di avere una buona visuale.
Finisce comunque al 20° posto conquistando i suoi primi punti mondiali.
Nella seconda manche invece parte subito molto forte gestendo la gara e tenendosi stretta la 16° piazza. Purtroppo un piccolo errore lo fa scivolare perdendo posizioni preziose, chiude la sua manche al 21° posto .
Il team KTM Racestore si sposta in Italia a Mantova per la seconda gara della stagione.
Samuel Nilsson commenta così la gara:” Sono contento del risultato in questo mio primo Gp della stagione perché ho trovato da subito un buon feeling. In gara 1 sono stato veloce e lottavo per delle buone posizioni ma purtroppo mi è entrata dell’acqua negli occhiali e non riuscivo a guidare bene. Peccato per la piccola caduta in gara 2 quando stavo prendendo la 15° posizione. Sono molto soddisfatto di questo weekend, il team ha lavorato alla grande e mi trovo molto bene con la mia SX-F 250. Adesso ci prepariamo per la prossima gara.”

World Championship MX2 GP of Great Britain.
The 2022 world season opens after last week’s postponement due to adverse weather conditions, the Matterly Basin track has undergone important changes that have made the track even more technical and faster.
The Ktm Racestore team in the Mx2 class fielded the new signing Samuel Nilsson.
In free practice the young Spanish rider became familiar with his new bike and with the new track, in qualifying Samuel tried to find the right feeling by working on the race pace in view of the heats.
In the qualifying race Nilsson tried not to make mistakes by showing good speed and finishing in 17th place.
In race 1 he shoots well at the start but unfortunately a small problem with his glasses does not allow him to have a good view.
However, he ends up in 20th place, winning his first world points.
In the second heat, however, he immediately starts very strong managing the race and keeping close to 16th place. Unfortunately, a small mistake made him slide losing valuable positions, he closed his heat in 21st place.
The KTM Racestore team moves to Mantua in Italy for the second race of the season.
Samuel Nilsson comments on the race as follows: ”I am happy with the result in my first GP of the season because I immediately found a good feeling. In race 1 I was fast and I was fighting for good positions but unfortunately water got into my glasses and I couldn’t ride well. Too bad for the small crash in race 2 when I was taking the 15th position. I am very satisfied with this weekend, the team has worked great and I am very happy with my SX-F 250. Now we are preparing for the next race. ”
