Ritorna in pista il Campionato Europeo a Lommel nell’inferno di sabbia, per l’occasione sul fondo sabbioso della pista belga sono scesi in pista sia la 125 che la 250.

Al via della prima manche Valk è scivolato in partenza ripartendo nelle ultime posizioni, Cas ha messo in pista una grandissima rimonta che lo ha visto recuperare giro dopo giro andando a chiudere la sua gara in sesta posizione dimostrando un’ottima velocità. Alexis Fueri non è mai riuscito a trovare il ritmo giusto commettendo diversi errori che non gli hanno dato la possibilità di chiudere meglio del 13° posto.
In gara 2 Cas Valk dopo una partenza non facile ha dimostrato ancora una volta la sua bravura e la grande crescita andando a chiudere con un eccezionale secondo posto. Fueri cercando di migliorare la sua performance è incappato in due scivolate finendo al 17° posto.
Cas Valk chiude al quarto posto di giornata e mantiene la leadership di campionato, Fueri è ancora al terzo posto.
Nella 250 Cornelius Tondel torna in pista dopo un piccolo stop dovuto ad un infortunio ma non ancora al 100% delle sue condizioni fisiche.
In qualifica Tondel ottiene il quarto posto e Osterhagen il sesto nel proprio gruppo.
Nella prima manche Cornelius ha cercato di non commettere errori mettendo in scena una buona manche corsa con intelligenza che lo ha visto al sesto posto. Osterhagen complice una caduta è stato costretto al ritiro.
In gara 2 Tondel dopo una partenza difficile che gli ha fatto perdere alcune posizioni ma grazie ad una buona rimonta è riuscito a rimontare chiudendo la sua gara in sesta piazza. Osterhagen complice qualche errore ha concluso 14°
Cornelius Tondel riesce a non perdere troppi punti in campionato ed è ancora secondo in classifica di campionato.
Marco Maddii commenta così la gara:”Fine settimana difficile, nella 125 il resoconto è buono, Valk è ancora in testa alla classifica anche se non ha fatto un gran risultato complessivo ha dimostrato di essere molto veloce, peccato qualche errore di troppo. Alexis purtroppo ha fatto troppi errori nelle gare non riuscendo a esprimersi come avrebbe voluto ma comunque è sempre terzo. Nella 250 Tondel non ancora la top ma è sempre li in lotta per il titolo. Siamo un po’ dispiaciuti ma abbiamo voglia di fare bene nelle prossime gare.”

Cas Valk keeps the red plate and remains the current series leader
The European Championship was back to action on the infernal sand of Lommel, where the riders enrolled in the 125cc and 250cc categories faced the sandy Belgian track.
Valk slipped at the start of the first moto and had to start from the back. Despite the challenging situation, Cas worked his way up amazingly lap after lap till ending the race with the sixth spot. Alexis Fueri was not able to find the right race pace and also made several mistakes which did not help, and he classified 13th.
Race2 was not easy either for Cas Valk, in fact he had to face a tough start, but despite it all his great talent and the significant development allowed him to reach a phenomenal second place. Fueri tried to improve his performance but slipped twice and ended up 17th.
Cas Valk classified fourth overall and remains the current championship leader. Fueri is still holding the third place.
In the 250 Cornelius Tondel is finally back after recovering from an injury but is still not in perfect shape yet.
Tondel was fourth in the qualifying and Osterhagen sixth in his group.
Cornelius was wise in the first moto and did his best to avoid mistakes, so thanks to this strategy the moto ran smoothly and Tondel ended up sixth. Osterhagen crashed and had to abandon the race.
In Race2 Tondel was the protagonist of a difficult start which caused him to lose positions but managed to make up ground and classified sixth. Osterhagen made a few mistakes and ended up 14th.
Cornelius Tondel did not lose many points in the championship standings so he is still holding the second spot.
Marco Maddii: “It was a tough weekend. In the 125 the outcome was good as Valk is still leading the championship standings. Even though he did not get astonishing results, he showed he’s really fast; too bad for those mistakes. Unfortunately, Alexis made too many mistakes but he’s still third in the standings. In the 250 Tondel wasn’t in perfect shape but is battling it out for the title. We’re a bit sad but we’re willing to do our best in the next races.”
