13 giugno 2021. Primo appuntamento Mondiale MXGP per il Team Beta SDM Corse che si è presentato a questa gara con il solo Jeremy Van Horebeek. Clochet infatti non è stato presente a causa di infortunio subìto in allenamento.
Il format di gara, come nel 2020, si è concentrato nella sola giornata di domenica con prove libere e qualifiche che si svolgono in un unico turno e le due manche di gara.
Nelle Time Practice Jeremy Van Horebeek non è riuscito a trovare il feeling giusto con il fondo duro e insidioso di Orlyonok, e ha centrato solo un 18° posto.
Al via della prima manche il pilota SDM Corse su Beta RX 450 è partito con prudenza cercando di non commettere errori per non precludersi un buon risultato. Jeremy poi, con un buon passo gara, ha messo in scena una buona rimonta fatta di numerosi sorpassi che lo hanno visto concludere undicesimo.
In gara 2 il pilota belga ha recuperato alcune posizioni in partenza grazie ad un ottimo start e fin da subito ha cercato di prendere il proprio ritmo per poter stare vicino ai migliori. Grazie ad un’ottima prestazione complessiva e a diversi sorpassi, Jeremy ha ottenuto un altro 11° posto.
Con i due risultati ottenuti, Jeremy Van Horebeek ha concluso, in sella alla sua Beta 450, al nono posto Assoluto.
Prossimo appuntamento con il Mondiale MXGP il 27 Giugno a Matterly Basin, Inghilterra.
Daniele Marchese, Team Manager SDM, ha commentato così la gara: “Siamo molto contenti della prestazione, il nono posto di giornata per noi vale tantissimo. Se pensiamo che solo fino a qualche mese fa la moto non esisteva, possiamo dirci soddisfatti del risultato. Il nostro obbiettivo è di ottenere informazioni importanti per sviluppare la moto e cercare di stare nella top ten.”

First appointment with the World Championship MXGP – Russia
13 June 2021. First appointment with the MXGP for the Beta SDM Corse Team which come to this race with only Jeremy Van Horebeek. Unfortunately, Clochet is not present due to an injury suffered during his training.
The race format, as in 2020, is concentrated on Sunday, with free practice and qualifying that took place in a single session and the two races.
In Time Practice Jeremy Van Horebeek didn’t find the right feeling with Orlyonok’s hard and treacherous ground and he couldn’t do better than 18th position.
At the start of the first race the SDM rider, with his Beta RX 450, started with caution trying not to make mistakes to obtain a good final result. Jeremy with a good race pace made a good comeback and thanks to numerous overtaking at the end he finished eleventh.
In race 2 the Belgian rider, thanks to a good start, recovered some positions and he tried to mantain his own race pace in order to stay close to the best. With another excellent performance, and thanks again to several overtakes, Jeremy got another good 11th place.
Thanks to the two results obtained Jeremy Van Horebeek, on his Beta 450, ranked 9th Overall.
Next appointment with the MXGP World Championship on June 27th at Matterly Basin, England.
Daniele Marchese SDM Team Manager comments on the race as follows: “We are very happy with the performance, the ninth place of the day is worth a lot for us. If we think that only a few months ago the bike did not exist we can be satisfied with the result. Our goal is to obtain important information to develop the bike and try to stay in the top ten.”
