Il dodicesimo round del mondiale Motocross 2021 si è disputato sulla pista francese di Lacapelle Marival, il tracciato non ospitava un round del mondiale dal 2011.

Il team Beta SDM Corse deve fare a meno di Jimmy Clochet, il pilota francese nella gara in Germania ha risentito ancora dell’infortunio al ginocchio ed è stato tenuto a riposo precauzionalmente.
Jeremy Van Horebeek si è trovato subito a suo agio sul fondo duro della pista di Lacapelle Marival e nelle prove cronometrate ha fatto segnare il quinto tempo assoluto, miglior prestazione della stagione.
Al via di gara 1 Jeremy è scattato benissimo all’abbassarsi del cancello e alla prima curva si porta in quinta posizione, il forte pilota belga è riuscito a tenersi stretta la posizione per gran parte della gara, purtroppo a pochi minuti dal termine è incappato in una violenta caduta che lo ha costretto al ritiro.
Jeremy e il team hanno comunque deciso di schierarsi per la seconda manche, Van Horebeek anche se non al 100% delle sue condizioni fisiche non ha mollato ed è ha ottenuto un eccezionale nono posto.
Il Team Beta SDM Corse si sposta direttamente in Spagna per la gara che si terrà il prossimo fine settimana.
Daniele Marchese commenta così la gara: ”Ottima la qualifica di Jeremy che è subito entrato in sintonia con la pista francese ed ha ottenuto il quinto tempo, peccato per la prima manche quando si trovava nelle prime posizioni è caduto violentemente e si è dovuto ritirare. In gara 2 dopo una partenza non perfetta ha recuperato diverse posizioni chiudendo nono. Siamo comunque soddisfatti della prestazione di Jeremy e questo ci fa ben sperare per le prossime gare.”

The twelfth round of the 2021 Motocross World Championship was held on the French track of La Cappelle Marival, the track had not hosted a world championship round since 2011.
The Beta SDM Corse team has to do without Jimmy Clochet, the French driver in the race in Germany was again affected by his knee injury and was kept at rest as a precaution.
Jeremy Van Horebeek immediately found himself at ease on the hard surface of the La Cappelle Marival track and in timed practice he set the fifth time overall, best performance of the season.
At the start of race 1 Jeremy got off to a great start when the gate was lowered and at the first corner he moved to fifth position, the strong Belgian driver managed to keep his position tight for most of the race, unfortunately he ran into a violent fall that forced him to retire.
Jeremy and the team still decided to line up for the second heat, Van Horebeek, even if not at 100% of his physical condition, did not give up and got an exceptional ninth place.
The SDM Corse Beta Team moves directly to Spain for the race to be held next weekend.
Daniele Marchese comments on the race as follows: “Excellent qualifying for Jeremy who immediately got in tune with the French track and obtained the fifth fastest time, too bad for the first heat when he was in the first positions he crashed violently and had to retire. In race 2, after a less than perfect start, he recovered several positions and finished ninth. We are however satisfied with Jeremy’s performance and this gives us hope for the next races.“
