Il primo appuntamento stagionale con gli Internazionali d’Italia EICMA Series di Motocross 2024 si chiude con il successo di Tim Gajser (Honda) in MX1, Ferruccio Zanchi (Honda) in MX2 e di Noel Zanocz (Fantic) in 125.

Report Time – La prima giornata di gare del 2024 inizia col successo dell’olandese Gyan Doensen (KTM) che dopo aver firmato la Pole Position 24MX nelle prove del mattino, si aggiudica gara uno davanti al finlandese Kasimir Hinderson (KTM) e all’ungherese Noel Zanocz, con Cole McCoullough (Fantic), quarto e Simone Mancini (Fantic), sesto e primo degli italiani.

In gara due è l’inglese a scattare in testa conquistando il Raven Hole-shot davanti a Doensen e Mancini, con Zanocz attardato. L’ungherese rimonta però in fretta e prende la testa della gara dopo 6 tornate, mentre Doensen cade nel tentativo di seguire il rivale. Sul traguardo Zanocz è primo davanti a McCoullough e Doensen, con Mancini quarto davanti a Giorgio Orlando, primo dei piloti Yamaha.

Sul podio Zanocz centra il primo successo stagionale con 45 punti, con Doensen secondo a pari punti e McCullough terzo a 40. Mancini e Orlando chiudono rispettivamente al 4° e 5° posto.

In MX2 è Simon Langenfelder (GASGAS) l’uomo da battere, il tedesco, autore della Pole Position 24MX, in gara uno scatta alle spalle di Oriol Oliver (KTM), autore del Raven Hole-shot e Andrea Adamo (KTM) e prende il comando dopo due tornate, involandosi verso un successo in solitaria, mentre Adamo chiude secondo, approfittando dell’errore di Oliver nel finale. Lo spagnolo crede che la gara sia terminata quando manca ancora un giro, lasciando sfilare Adamo che chiude secondo davanti a lui, con Ferruccio Zanchi (Honda), quarto dopo un avvio in salita a causa di una caduta.

In gara due è Quentin Prugnieres (Kawasaki) a firmare il Raven Hole-shot, guidando il gruppo per in primi tre giri, mentre Langenfelder cade alla prima curva, coinvolgendo Adamo che non riparte. Nel corso del quarto giro Oliver prende la testa della manche, seguito da Prugnieres e Zanchi che scivola ma si riprende e passa i due rivali, chiudendo al primo posto davanti a Oliver e Prugnieres, con Langenfelder quarto. Sul podio il toscano della HRC è primo a pari punti con il pilota GASGAS e Oliver terzo a una sola lunghezza.

Nella classe regina è Romain Febvre (Kawasaki) a scattare davanti a tutti, conquistando il Raven Hole-shot, precedendo alla prima curva Glenn Coldenhoff (Fantic) e Tim Gajser (Honda). Lo sloveno, autore della 24MX pole position nelle qualifiche, prende il comando della manche nel corso del secondo giro e si invola verso il traguardo che taglia primo dopo 16 giri, con 4 secondi di vantaggio su Febvre che lo tallona per tutta la manche e Maxime Renaux (Yamaha), terzo.

Tim-Gajser

In gara due è Coldenhoff a centrare il Raven Hole-shot, precedendo Jago Geerts (Yamaha) e Gajser che riesce a prendere il comando dopo 4 giri, fuggendo in solitaria, con Coldenhoff che cade e cede il secondo posto a Renaux che taglia il traguardo alle spalle del cinque volte campione del mondo, precedendo l’olandese e Febvre che sale sul podio alle spalle dello sloveno e del connazionale.

On the podium, Zanocz achieve the first success of the season with 45 points, with Doensen second on equal points and McCullough third with 40.

During the fourth lap Oliver takes the lead of the heat, followed by Prugnieres and Zanchi who fell but recovers and passes his two rivals, finishing in first place ahead of Oliver and Prugnieres, with Langenfelder fourth. On the podium the Italian from HRC is first on equal points with the GASGAS rider and Oliver third by just one point.
