Sul tracciato olandese di Oss va in scena il quarto appuntamento del FIM Motocross World Championship. In MX2 Adamo è penalizzato da due errori ma centra la zona punti in entrambe le frazioni; in MXGP ancora un weekend fuori dalla ‘top 20’ quello di Forato.

Nel Campionato EMX250, Horgmo conserva la seconda posizione in campionato grazie ad un quinto posto di giornata.
Per il quarto appuntamento stagionale, il FIM Motocross World Championship si sposta nel nord Europa, precisamente in Olanda, per l’MXGP of the Netherlands. Dopo molti anni d’assenza, il campionato del mondo torna sul tracciato di Oss, tracciato dalla tipica sabbia scusa morbida in superficie ma con un fondo piuttosto duro e compatto.
Con la presenza del Campionato EMX250 che affianca le classi MXGP ed MX2, l’SM Action GasGas Racing Team Yuasa Battery si presenta al completo con Kevin Horgmo #240 (EMX250), Andrea Adamo #80 (MX2) e Alberto Forato #303 (MXGP).
Nella giornata di Sabato, sono i giovani dell’europeo a scendere in pista. Nelle prove libere Kevin si dimostra subito velocissimo e centra il 1° tempo del suo gruppo. Nelle seguenti cronometrate il norvegese si riconferma in testa al gruppo e in griglia di partenza, conquista il 2° cancelletto.
Nella prima manche l’avvio vede il pilota della GasGas occupare la 1a posizione ma dopo una scivolata, il norvegese si ritrova 7°. Nelle restanti tornate, Horgmo risale attraverso il gruppo grazie ad una costante rimonta che gli consegna il 3° posto. Nella seconda manche, la partenza non è perfetta e Kevin è costretto ancora una volta a rimontare. Il risultato finale vede il norvegese completare la corsa con un 5° posto. A fine giornata, Horgmo risulta 5° in classifica mentre in classifica generale, Kevin conserva la sua 2a posizione, allungando sul diretto inseguitore ma perdendo anche qualche punto nei confronti del leader provvisorio.
Domenica, la prima manche della MX2 vede Adamo centrare una buona partenza e stabilizzarsi subito all’interno della ‘top 10’. Nel corso del secondo giro però l’italiano commette un errore e scivola in 18a piazza. La sua gara, cercando di rimediare all’errore, si conclude con un 15° posto. In gara 2 la fortuna non è ancora una volta dalla parte dell’italiano. In partenza Andrea cade e nella fretta di ripartire, cade nuovamente. Partito ultimo, compie una spettacolare rimonta e chiude 18°. A fine giornata, si ritrova 17° in classifica ed i nove punti conquistati lo collocano in 14a piazza della classifica generale.
In MXGP, la prima manche di Alberto si svolge tutta fuori dalla ‘top 20’. L’italiano dopo la partenza si ritrova 25° e nelle seguenti tornate, arretra di alcune posizioni sino a ritrovarsi 28°. Dal settimo passaggio in poi, Alberto trova il ritmo giusto e dopo una lunga e faticosa rimonta durata dieci giri, chiude la manche con un 21° posto. Nella seconda manche Forato è subito a ridosso della ‘top 20’ al termine del primo giro ma il suo ritmo di gara non gli consente di tenere la posizione. Con un ritmo altalenante si affaccia in 20a piazza per soli tre giri, poi cala ed è costretto a cedere alcune posizioni, ritrovandosi 24° sul traguardo. A fine giornata, viene accreditato del 27° posto.
Il FIM Motocross World Championship continua il suo cammino con il GP of Czech Republic sul tracciato di Loket, che si terrà il prossimo fine settimana. I ragazzi del Campionato EMX250 torneranno in pista invece tra due settimane, quando il FIM Motocross World Championship approderà in Belgio per l’MXGP of Flanders-Belgium sul tracciato di Lommel.
Andrea Adamo #80: “La giornata è andata così e così, il risultato non come volevo. In gara avevo un buon ritmo ed una buona velocità. Purtroppo in gara 1 dopo una buona partenza sono scivolato. In gara 2 sono caduto in partenza, due volte nel giro di pochi metri. Sono partito ultimo e distante dal gruppo e ho recuperato bene. Peccato perché senza cadute potevo chiudere entrambe le manche a ridosso della ‘top 10’, invece torniamo a casa con un brutto risultato. Ora un paio di giorni di allenamento e poi di sposteremo verso Loket per il prossimo GP.”
Alberto Forato #303: “E’ stato un weekend molto duro, la pista era molto bucata e scavata ma al contempo bella. Ancora, per pochissimo, sono rimasto fuori dalla zona punti ma continuiamo a lavorare cercando di centrare questo obiettivo già dalla prossima gara. Oggi faceva anche molto caldo ed ho sofferto tanto. Comunque stiamo lavorando bene e sicuramente arriveranno anche i primi risultati.”

The fourth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship takes place on the Dutch circuit of Oss. In MX2 Adamo is penalized by two errors but hits the points in both fractions; in MXGP another weekend outside the ‘top 20’ in Forato. In the EMX250 Championship, Horgmo retains the second position in the championship thanks to a fifth place of the day.
For the fourth round of the season, the FIM Motocross World Championship moves to northern Europe, specifically to the Netherlands, for the MXGP of the Netherlands. After many years of absence, the world championship returns to the Oss track, traced by the typical soft sand on the surface but with a rather hard and compact bottom.
With the presence of the EMX250 Championship alongside the MXGP and MX2 classes, the SM Action GasGas Racing Team Yuasa Battery is complete with Kevin Horgmo # 240 (EMX250), Andrea Adamo # 80 (MX2) and Alberto Forato # 303 (MXGP ).
On Saturday, it is the young Europeans who take to the track. In free practice Kevin immediately proves to be very fast and hits the 1st time of his group. In the following timed sessions, the Norwegian confirms himself at the head of the group and on the starting grid, wins the 2nd gate.
In the first heat the start sees the GasGas driver occupy the 1st position but after a crash, the Norwegian finds himself 7th. In the remaining laps, Horgmo goes up through the group thanks to a constant comeback that gives him the 3rd place. In the second heat, the start is not perfect and Kevin is forced once again to recover. The final result sees the Norwegian complete the race with a 5th place. At the end of the day, Horgmo is 5th in the standings while in the general standings, Kevin keeps his 2nd position, stretching on the direct rival but also losing a few points towards the provisional leader.
On Sunday, the first heat of MX2 sees Adamo hit a good start and immediately stabilize within the ‘top 10’. During the second lap, however, the Italian makes a mistake and slips to 18th place. His race, trying to make up for the mistake, ends with a 15th place. In race 2, luck is once again not on the side of the Italian. At the start Andrea falls and in a hurry to leave, he falls again. Starting last, he makes a spectacular comeback and finishes 18th. At the end of the day, he finds himself 17th in the standings and the nine points won place him in 14th place in the general standings.
In MXGP, Alberto’s first heat takes place entirely outside the ‘top 20’. After the start, the Italian finds himself 25th and in the following laps, he retreats a few positions until he finds himself 28th. From the seventh lap onwards, Alberto finds the right pace and after a long and tiring comeback lasting ten laps, he closes the heat with a 21st place. In the second heat Forato is immediately close to the ‘top 20’ at the end of the first lap but his race pace does not allow him to hold the position. With a fluctuating pace he faces 20th place for just three laps, then drops and is forced to give up some positions, finding himself 24th on the finish line. At the end of the day, he is credited with 27th place.
The FIM Motocross World Championship continues its journey with the GP of Czech Republic on the Loket track, which will take place next weekend. The guys from the EMX250 Championship will be back on track in two weeks, when the FIM Motocross World Championship arrives in Belgium for the MXGP of Flanders-Belgium at the Lommel track.
Andrea Adamo # 80: “The day went like this and so, the result was not as I wanted. In the race I had a good pace and good speed. Unfortunately in race 1 after a good start I crashed. In race 2 I crashed at the start, twice within a few meters. I started last and far from the group and I recovered well. Too bad because without crashes I could have closed both heats close to the ‘top 10’, instead we go home with a bad result. Now a couple of days of training and then we will move to Loket for the next GP. ”
Alberto Forato # 303: “It was a very hard weekend, the track was very pitted and dug but at the same time beautiful. Again, for a very short time, I stayed out of the points but we continue to work trying to achieve this goal as early as the next race. Today it was also very hot and I suffered a lot. However we are working well and the first results will certainly arrive.”
