Sul tracciato di Teutschenthal, nella MX2 Michele Cervellin conquista il nono posto, Maxime Renaux conclude appena fuori dalla ‘top 10’. Nell’Europeo 250, Andrea Adamo termina quattordicesimo.
Michele Cervellin si è comportato egregiamente anche in questo fine settimana, portando a casa punti preziosi in ottica campionato. Il pilota veneto ha fatto vedere buone cose già nella heat di qualifica, collocandosi in ottava posizione al termine di una prova regolare e concreta. In Gara 1 non ha tradito le attese e si è installato attorno alla decima piazza. Una scivolata patita a metà gara gli ha fatto perdere tempo prezioso e lo ha costretto a dare il massimo nel corso degli ultimi minuti di gara. Grazie ad un moto d’orgoglio, il campione italiano in carica della MX2 è stato in grado di conquistare l’11esimo posto di manche. Nella frazione di chiusura, è nuovamente uscito con prontezza dai blocchi di partenza, guadagnando in breve l’ottava posizione e mantenendola fino alla bandiera a scacchi. I risultati conseguiti gli hanno permesso di rimanere nella top 10 in campionato, a poche lunghezze dalla nona piazza.
Maxime Renaux ha esordito con un brillante sesto posto nella manche di qualifica; in Gara 1, però, la malasorte ci ha messo lo zampino. Un errore riscontrato nel corso delle prime battute, ha retrocesso il francese a fondo gruppo. Nonostante tutto, il transalpino non si è dato per vinto ed è stato in grado di entrare in zona punti, giungendo 19esimo. Nella heat successiva si è prontamente riscattato; terminato il giro d’apertura nelle prime dieci posizioni, ha guadagnato in breve la settima piazza, conservandola fino alla conclusione. La tappa tedesca lo ha quindi visto tornare a casa con un buon gruzzolo di punti, che gli hanno permesso di salire al 12esimo posto nella classifica generale.

Fine settimana in chiaroscuro per Andrea Adamo; il giovane talento azzurro ha debuttato con l’ottavo tempo nel Gruppo 2 di qualifica. In Gara 1 ha avuto un buono spunto al via; nell’arco di pochi giri, è riuscito a superare alcuni avversari, terminando infine al nono posto. Nella seconda manche, invece, ha avuto un avvio da dimenticare e questo ha compromesso la sua prova. Nonostante il lodevole impegno, non è riuscito ad andare oltre la 24esima piazza. L’esito complessivo della prova gli ha fruttato comunque la top 15 assoluta e gli ha permesso di portarsi al 20esimo posto nella classifica generale.
Il prossimo appuntamento del Mondiale si svolgerà tra due settimane sul tracciato di Palembang, dove si terrà il primo dei due appuntamenti in programma in Indonesia. Il Campionato Europeo 250, invece, riposerà fino agli inizi di agosto, quando tornerà in gara in Belgio, sul celebre impianto di Lommel per il penultimo appuntamento stagionale.

AT TEUTSCHENTHAL CIRCUIT, IN THE MX2, CERVELLIN CONQUERED THE 9TH PLACE, RENAUX FINISHED JUST OUT OF THE TOP 10. IN THE 250 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP ADAMO ENDED IN 14TH POSITION.
Michele Cervellin behaved admirably this weekend too, as he brought home some precious championship points. The rider from Veneto showed good speed since Qualifying Race already, as he finished in 8th place at the end of a concrete and quite regular race. In Race 1 he confirmed the expectations, as he started around the 10th place. At half of the race, though, a slip made him losing some precious time and he was forced to push as hard as he could during the last minutes of the race. Thanks to his pride, the MX2 reigning Italian Champion managed to finish in 11th position. In Race 2 he once again started quite well and he rapidly gained the 8th place, position that he kept until the checkered flag. Those placements allowed him to remain in the Top 10 of the championship General Classification with only a few points of gap from the 9th place.
Maxime Renaux started the weekend with a brilliant 6th place in Qualifying Race. In Race 1, though, bad luck interfered with his performance: he made a little mistake during the first moments of the race and he had to move to the back of the group. Despite all of that, the French did not give up, as he managed to finish the race in the points area, in 19th place. In Race 2 he redeemed himself: he finished lap 1 in the Top 10 and he quickly gained the 7th place, position that he kept until the end of the heat. He brought home some good championship points from the German round, and he moved up to the 12th place in the General Classification.
Bittersweet weekend for Andrea Adamo. The young Italian rider started the event with the 8th fastest lap time in Qualifying Group 2. In Race 1 he had a good start, and he moved up a few places during the first laps. He then finished the race in 9th place. In Race 2, instead, he had an horrible start, and this compromised his whole race. Despite of all the effort, he was not able to make it better than the 24th place. However, at the end of the day he entered the Top 15 of the Overall Classification and he moved up to the 20th place in the General Classification.
The next appointment of the World Championship will take place in two weeks’ time at Palembang Circuit, and this will be the first of the two rounds that are scheduled in Indonesia. The 250 European Championship , instead, will stop until the beginning of August, when the circus will move to Belgium on the historical Lommel Circuit for the second to last round of the season.
